“This is my third Fly6. The latest seems to be the brightest.
The new unit is smaller, but I am thinking the jury is still out on the longevity of the battery.
With the smaller physical size of the unit, I suspect the battery may be smaller also.
I need to use it for another couple of weeks to get a better flavour of battery life.
The APP works well with the new Fly6 Gen 3,”
“A great product and easily captures number plates during the day. Updated charging port location/design is a positive (my Gen 2 Fly6 died from water ingress) but the smaller form of the new Gen 3 means a smaller battery, so a shorter run time than the older model. Fine for shorter rides or commuting, not so good on 100+km rides where I’ve had it go flat. Would definitely prefer the larger battery of the older model.”
“The Fly6 gen 3 is good, but I haven’t been able to generate a video. I’ve looked on YouTube to try to record and edit and haven’t found a video. The light works well. Just need to figure out the video.”
“Great now the charge port is no longer on the top. (water got into my last one hence the expensive replacement)
I would change the flash mode and give it the double flash of the previous model.
Even with the increase in cost from previous models I would still recommend both front and rear models in the hope that you never need them, but should evidence be needed they are invaluable.”
“Great camera for your bike , I really recommend it, because there is a lot of bad people on every road , and you will never know, when or who it’s going to do something to you , I’m happy for having this and safe, great buy , thanks.”
“a littel complicated on setting on on the app
The straps for securing wont fit my seat stem iam not cutting down for a small price would pay for a middle strap”
“So far so good. However in the first week I was caught in some unseasonal rain and the unit did get fairly wet from road spray.
Since then the sounds turning on and off seem to be a lot quieter. Other than that it seems to be working great. I have had one of the original Fly6s for around 8 years that worked like a champion until the day it died and it did a lot of work in some of the wettest places in the tropics around Cairns.
Felt exposed without it so bought a replacement straight away.
Great match to the Fly 12 on the front of the bike.”
