Fly6 GEN 3 64GB Reviews

4.3 Rating 255 Reviews
Fantastic build quality and video performance. No problems with these. However, I have two suggestions, 1. I'm not sure I like the way it is mounted to the seat post, i.e. via a velcro band. I'm not sure it will last in the long term and also am worried it will slip down the seatpost on bumpy roads or when it is wet. 2. Battery life can be improved. Currently, it is about 4 hours. What will it be after a couple of years usage? Let's hope for the best. Also, give the short battery life, the Fly 6 should have been engineered with a replaceable battery. That way, if going for a longish ride, a spare battery can be carried and swapped when the original battery is low. And it will solve the issue of deterioration of the battery after a couple of years. Nonetheless, the Fly6 is still the best option for a rear camera at the moment.

Much smaller than the previous Cycliq camera I had a fact that I like I also like the use of velcro straps rather than the stretch bands on the previous model I used The metal clasp of the velcro strap needs to be made thicker, as the clasp on the shorter band broke after only two uses when tightening the camera onto the seat post I don't trust the straps supplied so I bought some from a local hardware store by making the strap narrower to fit through the slot at the rear of the camera I do use the tether straps on both cameras as they say "just in case"

I have the GEN2 which has become a little erratic so upgraded. The good - the size and weight are a big improvement over the previous model; have only done 2 hour rides so haven't fully tested the battery but I expect it'll be solid, even the GEN2 was good when doing 4 hour rides; footage is good quality and stable on road The bad - silicone cover, feels like it will protect the camera better but it's a right pain for charging. The glass inserts fall out and you basically install everything each time you charge so this wasn't thought through in design; the included mount is so hard to attach so using old mount

Der Ein-Ausschaltknopf sollte an der Geräteoberseite sein. Es wäre gut wenn die Kamera nicht nur aus einer Position in den Halter eingerastet werden kann.

The resolution of the camera is great. The image stability is fine for road usage. The sensitivity of the mic is also not problem. However, the Gen 3 would be perfect if it had more battery capacity - I am only using the recording facility and the run time is about 3 hours. Most of my rides are more than 3 hours. Otherwise no problem.
