“It would work brilliantly if I could fix it to my bike.
Sadly my rack bag gets in the way when it's fixed on to the seat post, the fixing method is too inflexible to fit to my rack bag and the fixing method does not allow it to be fixed to the rack in any way.
I would fix it to my helmet, except it will not fix so I will continue with my Go-Pro that's there now.
Anyone want to buy a Fly6?”
“Ok,Cycliq: you asked. I think you need to stand-down and reorient your quality control procedures. Why? Because 3 out of 3 Fly6 GEN 3 units thatI have used have ALL been defective!
The first purchase worked, but only for three weeks. Then it seriously overheated, (hurt my fingers turning it off!) leading to my warranty experiences with you. Thank you for this.
Unit #2 did not work at all. Even with your online help to attempt various fixes, it had to be returned also.
Unit #3 came with a defective SD card. I know this because it told me so with the steady red light, and the fact of giving zero functionality.
Fortunately I had a Sandisc Endurance 128gb SD card. I followed your instructions, downloaded the recommended app to format my own card to 32gb “fat”, and this unit #3 is now mostly functional. I say mostly, because it will not save the light mode preferences I choose, but it does record video. I am not eager to return Unit #3 because I need the video record on every ride thanks to a few hyper-aggressive local young racial warrior types.”
“I like the Fly6: it gives me a sense of security while riding. But it is not properly waterproof, and is prone to failure if it gets wet. I'm now using my third Gen 3 model: the first two were replaced because they stopped working after I got wet on rides. The support from Cycliq was good on both occasions, but the problem should be fixed. I also had this issue with the first generation Fly6, which had to be replaced.”
“Feel like this is a step back from the ce version, both in connectivity and power duration. Data transfer rate is usb 1.1 speed. PC software needs some serious work to get functionality to an acceptable level. Suggest the team look at the blackvue pc software system used for vehicles.”
