“Beautiful backpack that keeps its shape whether it's empty or packed full. I am 5' 6" and ordered the smaller size to replace my purse when I take the kids out for an adventure. I appreciate that it can hold my laptop, a water bottle, a sweatshirt, and lunch or snacks along with the usual phone/money/keys/sunglasses. I purchased a slightly imperfect bag and couldn't tell at all--it's a beautiful bag! As others have mentioned, the zippers stick a little bit, and the phone pocket is a bit tight for my iPhone X, but it works. I love that Day Owl is exploring ways to reduce waste by selling "seconds" and refurbished bags! I was excited to support a company like this, and I was pleased to find that the product was well worth the money!”
“Day owl is INCREDIBLE! I’m obviously all about the cause and the fact that this bag is made from recycled plastics, but even more, the quality and design of this bag amazing! I will say, I wish there were more pockets on the inside of the backpack because I love making use of space, but honestly I love my backpack so much that I don’t even care! Like I said, the quality and design of this backpack is beautiful and makes for a perfect everyday backpack whether you’re headed to the office, to the gym or outdoors. I don’t feel like a little kid walking around with my backpack, and I love that feeling! “I like how the backpack looks clean and minimal on the outside but doesn’t comprise the functionality of it. The backpack size fits well for a petite person like me with short torso. I’ve been using it for my air travel and I’m happy that I can fit the right amount of personal stuff in the main compartment (2 makeup pouches, a TSA liquid bag, sunglasses, external battery, wipes, a pair of sandals, hair brush). I also like how the main compartment can be opened all the way - it makes it easier to see everything in there and get stuff out. The luggage strap comes in handy so I don’t have to carry it on me all the time. I bought this backpack in mis-fit, but honestly I couldn’t find anything wrong with the quality :D
Some improvement in functions I wish to see in the future are more pockets in the main compartment and wider shoulder straps with more padding to make them more comfortable to wear in a long time.”
“The look and feel are good. I had it sitting by my chair at the pool and a puddle of water could not penetrate the inside (main or laptop compartment). For some reason I though it had better organization in the main compartment, but the large slot won't even fit a standard size journal, not will the outside zipper pouch. The small inside pouch fits my laptop charger or one other small accessory.
The more I write about this the less satisfied I am with it. Other than the waterproofing and sturdy feel of it I don't think it's worth the money. They also came out with a 25% off coupon after I spent the full amount on the bag so I'm not happy about that. I think this is going to be a return.”

“Wishing there were strap adjustments up top - it leans out and doesn't quite cling to the back shoulder region :( Also, the material lip overlapping the zippers sometimes gets in the way of a clean zip up (nooo). That may change overtime (I hope). As it is, it may be a weekly carry or for travel. Other than that, the material and minimal aesthetic is beautiful and I LOVE all of the pocket options.”
