“Right so I'm pretty much in love with this bag: It's sturdy, functional, and aesthetically pleasing; it is both professional by its sleek design, yet casual through its waxed canvas material and the fact that it is, well, a backpack. Although I'm petite I was really gung-ho about the larger size, and so I purchased both to try them out. As it turned out, the small size was (thankfully and surprisingly) actually perfect for my needs: It can comfortably hold a laptop, water bottle, phone/keys/wallet, a book, and—the big kicker here—both toiletries and an extra day's worth of clothes. (I recently moved back home due to COVID, but still travel into the city every so often for both work and friends, and so having that extra wiggle room was what sold me; for others who don't sleep out frequently, that spare space could also be used for gym clothes, groceries, or, well, anything else.) I got mine in the moss green color, and it is as vibrant and true in real life as it is in the photo, but now I'm eyeing that jam red as well ... Oh! And the fact that the backpack is made from recyclable materials and is therefore sustainable, and that you're supporting a small business? Yeah, that (and everything else) is what makes it worth the price. Thank you, Day Owl!”
“I was excited that this backpack is friendly to the environment and I was looking for a hidden water bottle pocket. It fits a 15" laptop plus another tablet in the back pocket and as a person that carries a lot of things for very long work days, I feel the backpack is supporting the weight nicely.
I purchased the Large version of the backpack and the main compartment is a bit small for me. I would love to have another slim compartment in the middle.
When the main pocket is completely full, the front pocket barely fits anything and the water bottle won't fit.
Overall I like it lot, It's a huge improvement from the backpack I had before.”
“I have quite a few bags, and I'm super particular about them and what function they serve. The Backpack covers my every day carry so well, it stole me away from messengers and I'm not looking back. Everything has a dedicated space, but it is still versatile in how you choose to configure that space.”
“Let me tell ya...GET YOU A DAYOWL BACKPACK!!! From top to bottom this is a backpack/company you want to support.
Website - user-friendly
Chat function - extremely helpful (and quick to respond)
Now the backpack itself...its made out of old water bottles?!?!?! let'sall take a minute to think about good this makes the Earth feel. On to a serious note - this pack is extremely well built and is made to last. The main pocket is very roomy and can fit almost any normal object you would put in a backpack. The additional side pockets/water bottle pockets are discreet but provide handy storage for smaller items youdon'twant floating around in the main pocket. The straps can seem awkward to adjust but not having the excess strap hanging down gives the pack a cleaner/more put together experience.
haven't had a change to test out the luggage strap or carry it by the two handles on the top of the bag much so no comment. They look just as great as the other features of the pack.
If you are considering a new backpack I strongly recommend reading up about what happens to backpacks after they reach their end and consider supporting Dayowl and their commitment to recycling old packs and producing a superior product.”
“I loved my backpack! The color is even more beautiful in person. I bought one of your misfits and I did not notice anything wrong, which made me happy that I contributed to fight with wasting. The perfect, neat backpack I was looking for!”
