Going on three years with my slim misfit and I'm honestly surprised at how well it's held up! I have the nocturnal black and it has faded to a bit, not too noticeable. Stains do come off easy if you follow care instructions. I was looking for a bag that doesn't look bulky because of my petite frame and doesn't sag down if I were to stuff it. I use this backpack for college and it holds all of the things I need nicely. I carry my 13-inch MacBook Air, pencil pouch, Day Owl pouch (use for cords) and alternate between the notebooks I need because it does become heavy easily. There isn't a lot of wiggle room when I put my 16oz water bottle inside the side pouch so I've been using that for my umbrella. The very top pocket near the handles is my favorite feature! It fits quite a lot. I usually have my card wallet, AirPods case, my keys on a wrist chain, and a little lip balm. Overall, if you don't have a lot of things you need on a daily basis or don't mind taking time to alternate between the items you need for the day, this a perfect bag!!

I love my bag! Its pockets help me to stay organized in a way that other backpacks haven’t. I’m especially a fan of the top pocket for smaller items. Overall it’s a great bag and I’m considering purchasing its full-sized form in the future.

Decent backpack. I can tell that it's constructed well and doesnt feel big or like youre going off to class. If you are purchasing, I would keep in mind that the slim does NOT carry much, but part of the reason I bought the slim was to only bring the essentials for a trip, so I dont mind being forced to edit. i bring it sketching and like to put the 7x10 sketchbook in the laptop pocket so that it's easy to access.(any larger sketchbook wouldnt fit in here-rn ive got one of the canson xl ones with the ring binding. I've also put my ipad 10 inch in there and it fits fine. Both together fit tightly, but im usually bringing one or the other. I find myself frustrated with the front pocket. I thought i might be able to put a (ringed) sketchbook or a paperback in there but it's too small for both (for the paperback if it was just like an INCH taller itd fit) I just put loose bits of paperstuff in there. Likewise, the interior pockets feel useless to me. when i have anything else in the main pocket theyre hard to reach and get anything in and out of. With a water bottle in the water bottle pocket you lose about a third of the interior space in the main compartment- the backpack does look sleek, but I think that I wouldnt mind having an exterior water bottle holder if it meant that I could use the entire interior space of the main compartment. I usually carry with me an A5 sized bag inside there (exterior 10.7x7.5) to carry my supplies and it would be nice to be able to slot it in upright rather than on its side. Overall i feel like this bag is more of a purse replacement than a backpack, but it's still suits most of my needs. I'm happy to get it as a Misfit and thus discounted, i feel like it'll last a long time.

Are you kidding me! I wish I had discovered Day Owl YEARS ago when they came aboard the purse/napsack/ruicksack/bookbag...whatever you call it. I just received my backpack and crossbody yesterday. I AM IN LOVE! I'm using the crossbody as a purse, and the Slim Backpack as a laptop/everything else carrier. I am DONE with the expensive, leather, "cutesie" purses for LIFE. I will be purchasing a "regular-sized" backpack in the next few days. I love what Day Owl is doing with recycling and sleek designs. The storage is ridiculous. The size of the bag does not at all hint at how much it stores. It's like pulling up to a "plain" house on the outside, but then once you get inside you're like "Wow, had no idea it would be this nice inside..." I purchased a backpack for my teenaged son last year (because he's picky and stylish), and after seeing his on his back after dropping off/picking up daily from high school, I started getting jealous and wanted my own. Day Owl has got something going on here, and I'm about to go broke buying all their products. GO DAY OWL!
