We have had a Debutots party for my son’s 5th birthday, it was Superhero themed and it was brilliant! Kirsten is excellent at getting the children’s attention and creating exciting stories (she has many different themes to choose from), encouraging the children to use their imagination and act out. She is kind and smiley, she involves all the children even when they need to take a minute to sit out - she is happy for them to play with Squiggles (puppet) to put them at ease and then they can re-join the group when they’re ready. Several parents commented on what a brilliant party it was and how they enjoyed watching their children take part. Thank you so much, Kirsten! Highly recommended!

We have a monthly session of Debutots with Kirsten at a local residential setting and I would highly recommend this to any early years setting to be a part of and also to any residential homes to get involved in. The sessions are fun, interactive and the children are all full of smiles and laughter throughout. These sessions have proved a huge success and when attending myself to witness these, to see the joy and fulfilment it brings to the residents is truly fantastic, I witnessed the residents up and out of their seats waving scarves in the air and singing whilst telling the children what they liked as children, whilst our children join in and hand out stickers and many make pictures to take on their next visits, it is wonderful. A huge thank you to you Kirsten for these amazing sessions and just the fantastic reward it has been for children, staff and the residents, we love our Debutots sessions.

Debutots Intergeneration sessions are wonderful and so enjoyed by all who take part. The residents in care homes get such joy from watching and interacting with the children who visit and many friendships are made across the age groups.

This academic year we have been attending the Generations Imagination sessions. I can’t recommend these sessions enough; it is something both the children and adults look forward to each month! The way Kirsten delivers the sessions is fantastic, she brings the children and the residents together through music and stories and finds a way for all generations to relate and have a good time. The topics she picks for each session are relevant and correlate back to something the children are learning at pre-school, this captures their imaginations and continues their learning. Watching the children’s confidence grow each session has been amazing and has provided some special moment between the residents and children. The children always come away from the sessions with their imagination bubbling, their vocabulary expended and chatting away about their friends at the care home with an extra pinch of confidence that they didn’t have before.

Our Nursery children regularly join Kirsten at our local Nursing home to take part in intergenerational story sessions. The children enjoy taking part in her interactive sessions, which foster and encourage wonderful interactions with residents. It is lovely to see the reaction of the residents when they see the children and sometimes have a giggle when they do something funny! The children enjoy taking part in the storytelling activities and are keen to be the one to hold Squiggles as they get to hold him and go around showing him to all the residents. Thank you Kirsten for providing such a high-quality experience.

Margot has been to debutots in many forms now and every one has been absolutely amazing. She started around 18 months old at Kirsten's private sessions on a Friday and bought in instantly with the bubbles, dancing and best of all... Squiggles! After a while, we started regularly attending Kirsten's classes at a local care home and it was so beautiful to see smiles on all generations faces. The stories were always great and it was so lovely to see the little ones gradually get more connected to the residents, handing them stickers and sharing around toys and props... Plus more Squiggles of course. We stopped attending those sessions when Margot started nursery, but her Debutots story continues there as we were delighted to learn that Kirsten also does amazing sessions at her school too. It was an incredible help to her settling in and I know she still loves Debutots as much as she always did. Thank you Kirsten!

We have been accessing Debutots online sessions over lockdown and it has been a wonderful source of entertainment for my 3 children. My 9 year old son is severely disabled and watches Mr Tumble 247! However he actually watched the whole session without moaning for Mr Tumble (this is practically a miracle). We have since watched the online sessions weekly and my other 2 children (7 and 3 years old) always rush to the iPad when they hear the music at the start. We were lucky enough to meet Kirsten and have a social distance session with her which was amazing. It was like a celebrity was in our midst and the children had a wonderful time and even got to meet Mr Squiggles. Thank you so much for helping us get through this difficult time and for bringing fun into our home.

Kirsten has been coming to my setting and sharing stories with us for almost 3years. The children thoroughly look forward to seeing Kirsten and all really leap into the interactive sessions. Watching their imagination, language and social skills develop is magnificent. The vocabulary that the older children have is quite extraordinary! Debutots is certainly helping in closing the word gap. Closing my business has been really tough for both me and the children that attend my setting. Being able to treat them to their Debutots story online has been great. The children are all joining in, as are the parents, and I love the weekly photos and videos that they share with me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend on line Debutots to any early years setting. Childminding at The Cottage
