“I would highly recommend this product! It cleanses and smooths the skin without causing any irritation. It also has a lovely oat/milk scent. Ive been using it every second/third day and have found it leaves my skin clean, without feeling dry which is great as I have dry skin and avoid products that are too drying. “An interesting, novel exfoliant! Comes in powder form, and once water is added, it turns into a creamy paste and lathers up lightly when you start rubbing it on your face. You don't need to use a lot, so a little goes a long way. Great value for the amount you get. It's gentle (maybe too gentle to be noticeable as an exfoliant?) enough for daily use, although I would have preferred a little more grit. Has a pleasant oat smell and feels nice, soft on the skin. I haven't noticed any significant improvements after 3 weeks of usage. Does leave my face feeling soothed and hydrated though. Packaging is nice but I worry that will not do well in the shower. I will continue to use as I like it as a cleaner, and would recommend to anyone looking for a gentle everyday exfoliant. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.”
“Having a face wash in powder form is a strange concept but it works reasonably well. I found that there’s a very fine line between feeling the exfoliation and it foaming up into a cleanser; it’s pretty sensitive to water being added. There’s a distinct powdered milk scent despite being plant-based. It’s not unpleasant and disappears once a proper lather starts to happen. My skin feels nice and clear after using it without feeling dry.
The downside is it’s really difficult to use in the shower (you need to wet your hands and pour it before you get in) but the upside is that it would be great for travel when you don’t want to worry about liquids. My experience is that powdered products in humid conditions can congeal and there’s the potential downside that if the hole on top gets wet it may become blocked. It can be fiddly to shake product into your hands when they’re wet too.
Overall it’s a really cool concept and seems like a decent product; the packaging could just use some improvement.

“Dermalogica does a GREAT job with plenty of their products, and this is no exception. Their Daily Milkfoliant comes in a blue jar with a screw lid, and a little opening that allows for you to tap enough of the product out, without accidentally letting too much moisture in.
This aims to exfoliate while also protecting the skin barrier. This vegan product contains oat and coconut, and while it starts off as a powder, once it is mixed with water, this turns into something else. It becomes milky and creamy, polishing away dead skin cells with a blend of AHAs and BHAs from grape extract and arginine, as well as papaya extract. This also contains hyaluronic acid and essential minerals,

“I’ve been a decade long user of Daily Microfoliant so to try a new variant was an exciting move. The texture of this is smoother (more powder like perhaps attributed to oat flour) and not grainy so it didn’t feel like lot of physical exfoliation on the skin. If you’re sensitive skin, this might be your preference. I also found this gives more of a soapy foam compared to the OG. In terms of scent, it is similar to the original, which is mild and pleasant. Post cleansing my skin felt normal, no tightness or surface dryness was felt. It was good for my morning cleanse or second cleanse. I can’t say I have noticed significant smoothness in skin, however on the upside it didn’t deteriorate my skin condition either. It is nice to use, and I will finish this bottle. However, I will go back to Microfoliant.
