“I've been practicing several full contact martial arts since 2008 and have used McDavid cups and jock straps for all those years. It was what I first tried and it worked, so I never saw a reason to look for a different brand. My last cup got cracked in practice so I started looking into the other brands my friends were talking about when I came across a Master Ken (Enter the Dojo) promo for the Diamond MMA cup. I read the reviews and bought it to try as my replacement. It is so much more comfortable than the McDavid: the Diamond offers more room for my boys, I can sit in the splits without getting a cookie cutter feeling, displaces impact nicely, and stays in place after throwing a bunch of high kicks and while grappling for multiple rounds during practice. I asked the sales rep about trying this cup in other jock straps and they recommended against it, so of course I tried wearing the Diamond cup in the McDavid jock strap (hoping I didn't have to buy more of these). Not compatible, it shifts pretty often. Guess I have to replace all of my McDavid jock straps for this brand. Not too big of a loss, this is a huge upgrade.”
