How many chooks will this provide for?
Our Large Chicken Feeder is suitable for up to 8 chickens, and the Twin Cup Drinker is suitable for up to 12 chickens.
This package will provide adequate feed as well as fresh, clean water for 4 hens for up to 3 days. Keep in mind that the amount your chickens eat and drink will depend on breed, age, feed-type and even weather. These suggestions are estimates only, based on our own use of the Feeder and Drinker, and experiences in your chicken coop may be different.
What are the health benefits of a cage-mounted Feeder and Drinker?
Ten years ago, Dine a Chook invented a new way for poultry to eat. Instead of a treadle feeder or crown bell-style drinker, we created Feeders and Drinkers which tackled every problem we came across. In tackling the issues, the health benefits for backyard poultry were instant.
✅ No more contaminated feed or water - Other feeders or waterers allow chooks to walk or flick mud, dirt and faeces into the feed and water, causing waste and spreading disease.
✅ No more wet coop floor - Our drinkers do not leak or spill. A drier chicken coop means fewer pests and insects, less cleaning and fewer places for disease and bacteria to spread.
✅ Stops feed waste - Our unique horizontal and vertical anti-raking paddles prevent chickens thrashing feed onto the ground, saving you money and keeping the coop cleaner.
✅ Helps prevent rats and pest birds - Most pests are attracted to the chicken coop by spilled and wasted feed. Keeping feed off the floor helps deter rodents and pest birds.
✅ No more wet feed - Our Australian patented rain and gutter system virtually eliminates wet feed, even in the heaviest downpours, reducing waste.
✅ Prevent mould and algae - Dine a Chook Drinkers keep water clean and help prevent mould and algae.

Why is Dine a Chook the best in design and manufacturing?
Made in Australia, Dine a Chook quality is instantly recognisable. We use the best in Australian and German parts to make our Poultry Feeders and Waterers. Dine a Chook Feeders and Drinkers will give you many years of trouble-free service and reliability. We know, because we use them in our own chicken coop!
Made with the latest in ASA thermoplastic, to our specifications, our Feeders and Drinkers are made to endure the elements. They won't become brittle or deteriorate as quickly as other plastics. Plus, Dine a Chook products have no chemicals or glues, so they release no toxic fumes or pollutants into the water or feed.
Other clever ideas built into our cage mounted feeders and drinker design include moulded rear mounting hooks for use with our easy-to-install complimentary mounting kit. The lid is lockable and even has a handle for easy removal when topping up feed and water. We have also engineered an exclusive float in the Lubing Cup which allows more water into the cup.
Yes, we agree there are cheaper feeders and drinkers on the market. But put simply, none have spent the years of research and development to come close to a genuine Dine a Chook. To date more than 50,000 customers in Australia, New Zealand and the UK have joined the Dine a Chook family
So what are you waiting for? The little extra you spend now will be recuperated quickly by less feed waste and fewer trips to the vet.

Hello Ryan, the feeder has been great and everyone has figured it out very quickly. It will keep out the rain and rats which we have plenty of in the tropics. The water container is good. I was thinking the water cups would be a bit deeper. I wondering if legs or a spike underneath could be good for when you are filling. I do take it to the tap to fill it. This morning I didn't put the lid on properly and it fell on the cups. Fortunately, the pins weren't bent even though they were all out of place. It does leave the cups vulnerable if it is to fall on the ground. Just a thought.
