The Safer Way to Raise Baby Chicks
Looking for a better alternative to a heat lamp? The 15W Dine-A-Chook Chicken Heat Plate keeps your chicks warm naturally, safely and efficiently.
This brooder heat plate provides radiant warmth from above, just like a mother hen. It uses far less power than a heat lamp and doesn't emit harsh light that disrupts sleep or overstimulates young birds.
Why Choose a Chicken Heat Plate?
Safety First: No exposed bulbs, no risk of fire – unlike old-style heat lamps.
Energy Efficient: Only 15 watts of power for reliable warmth with minimal energy use.
More Natural: Chicks self-regulate under the plate, moving closer or further away as needed.
Ideal for Small Brooders: 25 x 25 cm square design is compact yet powerful.
How to Use
Position the plate in one corner of your brooder setup.
Pre-warm before placing chicks underneath.
Adjust the legs to suit chick height – from 5 to 15 cm.
Observe behaviour: cold = huddling and peeping; hot = panting or avoiding.
As chicks grow, raise the height of the plate gradually.
For easier cleaning and to protect your heat plate, we recommend adding the matching Acrylic Protective Cover (25x25 cm).
This 15W plate is suitable for up to 20 chicks and works for all poultry types, including bantams, quail, ducks and geese. Best used in environments above 10°C – we recommend indoor setups for early brooding.

This item may be faulty, as it doesn't heat enough. I just need to talk to the company, as I couldn't find a switch to raise the temperature

I purchased a heating plate for my newly hatched chicks. The smallest plate is keeping 4 chicks very comfortable and safe. I am more than pleased with this purchase. Thank you
