“Had high hopes for epetome and the pre pro biotic formula. Packaging all very lovely and convenient to take. I noticed some relief in the first two weeks but painful bloating returned after. I also noticed I had a big flare up of eczema on my arms and eyes and ears, something I’ve never had in the summer months. When you start taking a synbiotic, your gut adjusts to the new probiotic strains being introduced whilst the prebiotics feed the good bacteria. This adjustment, which can last 1 to 4 weeks, may cause temporary bloating, gas, or discomfort. These symptoms are normal and part of your gut's rebalancing process and tend to go away after the first month.
Also, probiotics may initially affect the balance of inflammatory pathways and immune responses, sometimes causing increased inflammation before achieving stability which might explain your flare-up.
