“Love this. Wonderful flavor; just marvelous. These braised gluten tidbits can be used to veganize literally thousands of recipes that in their cruelty-driven versions call for corpse body parts. And you will love puttering around, experimenting. Do not discard the liquid in which the seitan bits are packed. If you do not need it in your recipe, use it in your soup base for soup with any veggies you love, or thicken it slightly for gravy for anything you like to top with gravy.”
“I've been eating this seitan for years, and love it! It says it's ready to eat, but I've never tried eating it straight out of the can; I throw it in a pan with sauteed onion, garlic, and ginger, then add some soy sauce.”
“This is a wonderful substitute for chicken in stir-fry dishes. I had some problems getting it from local stores, but fortunately FakeMeats stocks it. Highly recommended.”
“Like its cousin, Peking Vegetarian Roast Duck, nicely formed pieces with just enough juice and flavor to work with anything you'd want to add. For the record, this consumer never expects these faux veggie products to taste like the "real" things. They are what they are and that's fine just the way they are.”
