“I tried this as I like trying all new foods & although not Vegan or Veggie I eat little meat or fish. I have had some amazing meat substitutes in Buddist Restaurants in Hong Kong . The tin looks great, sadly this is where it stops the "spring water" looked like jelly and it strongly resembled cat food, but I am not sure a cat would eat this. As it was the main protein in my dinner I decided to give it a go, I squeezed the jelly stuff off and tasted it, I find it hard to describe the taste, what it was was nothing like Tuna, well except maybe in colour. I could definitely taste the soya and an unpleasant taste that the end. I tried it again and showed it to my flat mate and then got my husband to try it, he pulled a face. We rarely throw anything away in this house, but in this case we made an exception. It wasn't vile, just unpleasant.”
“Made a passable tuna salad. The texture is pretty good. The taste is OK. If you are really craving a tuna substitute this is pretty good. But otherwise you could let this one off the hook . . .”
“Did not like the consistency at all, not did I like the seasoning. Because of the consistency, it could not be used in any other form other than in a sandwich. Very disappointed. Will not buy again.”
“It baffles me that someone put this product next to a can of what they were trying to replicate and declared it close enoughÂ. Call it a conspiracy theory, but maybe this product was created by the fishing industry to turn people against veganism?”
“I was excited to try this because I've been searching for a good tuna alternative. I could kick myself for purchasing 6 cans. It has little flavor other than tasting like a can. BLECHHH... Thankfully, I finally had the opportunity to try Good Catch water packed vegan tuna. Good Catch is overpriced, for the small amount you get in a package, but it is a much better product. When you jazz Good Catch up as a tuna salad, it's very tasty and has good texture.”
