Quite the tattiest funghi porcini I have ever seen - possibly because I have just returned from living in Italy where such horrible items would never be offered for sale but rejected out of hand - I will not be buying any more from you - Anthony Mead

Good quality porcini. They did me 3 meals and kept in the fridge for 3 days. Any longer and they would have started to go soft.

The porcini were delivered on a Monday and I kept them in the sealed packaging, unopened in my fridge until Thursday. Upon opening the package the ceps looked gnarled, woody, unenticing and were covered with an unexpectedly large amount of dirt. Suffice it to say that there was no instantly recognisable indication on the packaging to the effect that the goods were perishable so could not find any reason for them to be in such a poor condition. Their preparation prior to cooking was no easy task one had to be very choosy.  Most of the ceps appeared to be past their best and those that were not did not appear to have that unique flavour and smell that normally typifies them. Could not use more than about 40% of the purchase. Was underwhelmed by the experience. I cannot envisage myself making a similar purchase in future or recommending Fine Foods to my friends as a source for ceps. Generally disappointed.

Decent quality fresh porcini. Only used dried before but fresh porcini are luxurious in any dish.
