“I've swung an axe, maul, sledgehammer, etc... maybe 10,000 times in my life and I've broken every handle there is. Wood, fiberglass, I even bent the shaft of one of those all steel axes. Possibly a "me" problem, sure, but the point is I've spent 100's of hours fixing handles. So recently I split an ash handle the long way (yes you read that right) and as I'm standing there with two 36" slivers of handle in my hands I said to myself 'self, this end here'. So I took to the interwebs and after searching for things like "unbreakable axe handle" I came across the Fire Maul site and bought one. I got the red one because I like to lose things in the brush and you can't miss this thing. I'm still breaking her in but the handle itself seems like it's made of adamantium (google it, it makes sense). I had to shave it a little to fit the axe head I was putting it on but it comes with plenty of epoxy and I used it. The axe is heavier now, admittedly, but I can use the extra calorie burn. Nice solid piece. I can't imagine a scenario in which I could break this thing. Extremely well made product.”
“Great handle I don't think I will be able to break this one like so many hickory handles before it Tha design is ergonomic and fits in the hand really well before you put the firewrap on but that is just the icing on the cake positive grip that you can't beat and bright colors that show up in a fire. Fire Maul is my new favorite store.”
