“Exactly as advertised, always expect the best from FireMaul, always get the best. My only suggestion would be to remind idiots like me to not put the printed side of the compression roll against the wrap when installing. Now I have FireWrap branding all up and down my halligan .”
“Wrapped some forceable entry tools with this. Easy to put on for sure, is much more rubber-like than the other kit they sell. However, it doesn't seem as "permanent" as the other kit they sell. Sticks to the gloves when dry and does well when the gloves are wet as well. Placed on a set of tools used at the tech college I teach at. In the next couple of weeks, they will be used by all the classes for forceable entry and live burns. In all, they will see 28 live burn days and countless forceable entry drills. This should be a good gauge of how well it holds up. The picture is the set of tools along with the PIG tool that has the previous wrap on it. Will update soon.”
“Grip is definitely different than the previous grip, you can feel more of the rubber feel to the grip. Almost feels as if the grip would help with vibration to the tool when striking something. It is less steps installing than previous wrap however, I didn’t feel I had as much control of the texturizing for the grip. Since it is all in one you are fighting time to get the texture that you are desiring. My issue when installing was the resin clumping on me and not taking enough off. Result was some clumpy parts. In all I do like the wrap. The 2.5 inch width of the wrap felt sufficient and I had enough to wrap half a NY hook.”
