“I actually bought this for use on a hand-forged axe with a stained, but otherwise unfinished handle. I used the Tool Lube on both the axe head and handle and am very happy with the results so far! The finish on the wood is water repellent but not slick. The finish on the metal is a very thin film which does not seem greasy and isn’t staining anything.
Only time and exposure to the elements will let me know how well this stuff will work out, but so far it’s. ERY promising and it fills the roll of a couple different waterproofing treatments I was looking at, one for steel and one for wood. This took care of both nicely!”
