“I just received the TSR Halligan about a week ago. I've used it in training and it's been great. The adz gaps the door with a lot of ease and the very wedge-like forks are easy to get in there and finish the job. I feel like very little effort is used to open a door now because it's such a great tool and that is the whole point of perfecting tools. I love the spot of the spike, you can use that to your advantage and grab that to help you pry up on a tight door. The striking area on the tool is great, it gives you so much area to hit for the drive. It is a great tool, I've let everyone at the department used it and know a few have made their own orders now.”
“This tool is awesome, it has the BEST design changes since the Halligan was introduced to the Fire Service. I think Hugh would be happy to see these changes. It’s been a long time since a great tool has been introduced to us.”
“I have more than one of these bars and they are great! It has held up well to the rigors of the job and is my preferred tool stepping off the rig (coupled with the TSR Maul of course!). Many students I have had use it prefer it over the pro-bar while forcing the door props.”
“I preordered this TSR Halligan when I was a driver and got it a week ago (I’m now a Captain) LOL!! It was completely worth it!!! This thing is amazing!! It is solid!! I have only used to to train with twice and it’s a beast. Can’t wait to use out in the field. I highly recommend the TSR and Fire Maul Tools. It takes some time to create a product like this and they knocked it out the park. I will be sending pics of it out in the wild getting the job done very soon.”
“At first I loved the balance. Then how it’s finished so you don’t have to do more than adding a wrap if you want. How her pike pops into and out of trim or casework better than I could have imagined.
Some people may tell you it’s too short to force doors easily. NOT true. The magic Mitchell designed works like the dropped pike giving you more room to roll and work doors. Ramped forks make life easier. The bigger head is a great target if you need to drive the tool. It’s also great for breaking glass block or window sash without looking for another tool.
The other night I pulled some ceiling in a staircase with it. Its forks punched through layers of lathe, plaster, paint & Formica. Then turned to the adze bounced her up a bit to enlarge the hole.
I keep feeling like a TV sales guy that needs to say, “But wait there’s more.”
I think you’ll keep finding how much you like this well-built American Made and designed tool.”
