“I am pleased that Hunner took the time to find the right people to do the job. Is is smooth and PERFECT? No! It looks to be a functioning piece of fire service equipment ready to reak Havoc on some door somewhere. I have only had mine for a very short period of time. I have not been out to the academy to try it on some sim doors. I have not had the opportunity to use it on a call yet. So, this is where I am at the moment. I am just happy to have mine.”
“I just ran my first shift since receiving my preordered TSR halligan. This thing is awesome! Just holding it you can tell the number one priority over at Fire Maul Tools is quality.
Using it on our forcible entry prop was smooth, the adz was all you needed. Definitely a substantial upgrade from the pro bar. Unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity for traditional forced entry, but did use the forks to pull a knob which was very quick and easy. But not much different from a standard pro bar obviously.
I can't wait to see production pick up and more of these out in the wild! Congrats on your hard work, this thing is rad.”
“The TSR Halligan has exceeded my expectations for new halligan thus far. It definitely packs a punch and I have found the variations of the adz and pike to be very useful. It’s a great officer’s tool and is my daily go to.”
“If you don't want to be a workhorse, don't get this tool. Just don't. You won't have any excuses anymore. Need to force a door and only have your Halligan and a wedge? No problem. Need to overhaul a wall? Like a hot knife through butter. Need to get a hole in 3/4" ply? All day any day.
I waited since the pre-order period opened for this and it was a long and painful wait, but not even a week after getting this, it went to work and destroyed any other tool I could have used for walls and low ceilings. I was able to take out a plaster and board (not just lathe) wall in a 2x2 closet and hardly knew anything was different with the wall. Plaster and lathe ceiling came down in massive chunks with the adze. The pick end is a perfect angle to swing into plywood and take the entire piece off. This thing is a beast!
Long story short: if you don't want to go to work, don't get this tool. If you want to go to work, this is your golden ticket.”
“The thought and practical design that went into this Halligan are unmatched. Fire Maul Tools is unwilling to compromise on the quality of product unlike many other manufacturers. This is a must of a tool and is an unstoppable force matched with a mauler.”
