“I had high hopes for this bed. I love the style, finish color and the fact that this bed is solid wood but I was a little disappointed in several ways. First, the packaging was poor. The finished boards were in direct contact with each other and with un-finished boards such as the slats. This enabled debris from the boards to get between the boards and cause cosmetic damage. There should be paper, cardboard, foam or some other material separating and protecting each finished board. Also, the assembly instructions were somewhat poor. For example, there were biscuits provided but no mention of where they should be used/installed. I did't figure this out until it was too late and already had the bed assembled. Lastly, I love the mortise and tenon joints but none of the joints were tight. Every joint was loose which made aligning the boards and assembling the bed more difficult than it should be. The wood screws tightened everything up but a closer tolerance fit would have been much better.”
