The design of the bed is very nice. You need to review the manner in which you package for overseas destinations. Protection and packaging too flimsy.

Solid and serviceable, but not fine quality. Finish is uneven, bolts are visible after assembly from a few angles.

TLDR: Assembly instructions are weak and need serious attention, materials are nothing special or of high enough quality to warrant price, exposed screw holes make bed look like something cheap from China. My partner liked the bed style from this company (King four post, raised with canopy) and chose it unfinished because she wasn’t sure what color we wanted in the final product so we’d just stain it ourselves later. As many have mentioned, the instructions leave much to be desired. You can figure it out but for what you are paying I really don’t understand why they aren’t much better in a more step by step manner with lots of actual color photos. Additionally the pieces are barely marked so there is a good period of time you’ll have to spend figuring out what goes where when a few stickers with part numbers that correspond with the instructions would make your assembly experience 100 times better. Most of the thinner pieces of wood are a nice quality solid pine wood with few knots and well sanded to give a nice look and hand feel (read: no splinters). However, the posts are engineered finger jointed wood which is a very stable material to work with but the look leaves much to be desired. I question the cost of this bed when using such materials. I just don’t think the price is justified. I would have expected more hand picked, kiln dried and stable solid posts for the cost. All of the pre cut joints between pieces fit well and the bed when fully assembled feels like it will last through many sleeping sessions. I am annoyed by the lack of bungs (wood plugs for the uninitiated) for the screw holes that are visible in the canopy joints. This just feels lazy to me and again makes me question why I paid so much for this bed. A battery powered drill with clutch (not an impact driver) is a must when assembling this bed. Doing it by hand with a screwdriver would have taken forever and been an exercise in frustration and hand exhaustion. I used the drill with the clutch set low to prevent overdriving the screws and splitting the wood (something an impact would have done). Total assembly time for the King bed with my partner helping using the crappy instructions was around an hour and a half. In the end I am not over or under whelmed. I am just whelmed. It isn’t a bad bed but I definitely feel a much better job could have been done overall to justify its higher price. If someone showed me this without knowing anything about it, I would say its quality, finish and construction were on par with something from China and that’s about the price I would have expected someone to pay. You won’t be disappointed in your finished product but you will likely wonder why you paid so much for what you get.
