“They’re too small. I followed the size guide very carefully and double and triple checked the length of my feet - my longest foot is 295 mm, so clearly a size 11 according to the chart (which says up to 293 for size 10.5 and 299 for size 11). I do not have particularly wide or high feet, it is usually the length that is limiting, so when the shoes were initially a bit tight on the sides I was not worried because I expected they would give a bit. However, after carefully walking in them and gradually increasing the flex to a normal stride, I can say that these shoes are definitely too short - my toes get completely jammed into the front of the shoe! Not like “it would have been nice to have a little more wiggle room in the toe box”, but actually squeezed together/under each other and hitting the front edge of the shoe. No way anyone with 299 mm feet could walk in these. I’ve walked about 4 km in them without improvement, so I have to conclude that these shoes will never fit comfortably. I’ve not had loafers like these before and the length cannot be checked when you are just trying them on (because you need to flex them, which creases the leather so you can’t return them in new condition), so you’re left with having to trust the guidelines. The size guide for these shoes is either wrong, or the shoes I’ve received are faulty. A bit annoying, stuck with a pair of useless shoes.”
