“Overall, I have found the GGS Pre and Postnatal Certification to be a strong and informative program. The course content is well organized, evidence-informed, and provides valuable practical knowledge for working with pre- and postnatal clients. The material is engaging and clearly presented, making it useful for both newer and experienced fitness professionals.
One aspect of the course that I do not particularly agree with was the inclusion of discussions around gender fluidity and the idea that “anyone can identify as a woman.” In my opinion, these topics move away from the primary purpose of the certification, which should remain focused on the biological, physiological, and scientific aspects of pre- and postnatal training. While I understand the intent to be inclusive, I would have preferred the course to maintain a more science-centered and clinically focused approach rather than incorporating broader social or political perspectives.”
Chelsi, it’s great to hear that the Pre- & Postnatal Coaching Certification felt informative, engaging, and applicable for both newer and experienced fitness professionals.
Your comments about wanting the material to stay more narrowly focused on the scientific and clinical side of pre- and postnatal coaching are understandable, especially given the depth of physiological and evidence-informed content included throughout the Certification. The goal of the program is to prepare coaches for a wide range of real-world client experiences while still grounding the education in practical, evidence-based coaching certification for women.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about both the strengths of the Certification and the areas where the approach did not fully match your expectations.
