“These sneakers are great, but I have some gripes with them. Heres what I like and don't like:
The Good:
1. They are amazingly constructed. I am hard on sneakers and they have taken everything in stride. An annoying crease has developed between the 3rd and 4th eyelets on the left shoes, but thats not really a manufacturing error.
2. They are quite comfortable. The lining leather is soft and supple and there is very little break in required.
3. They don't smell bad. I wear my shoes/boots up to 14 hours some days and they can get really bad. The leather however has natural antimicrobial properties which keeps these from smelling.
The Bad:
1. There are no stamps! Every picture I could find of these had at least one Horween stamp on one shoe. I wasn't expecting perfect placement of them, but I was surprised to not find a single stamp on either shoe :(
2. The lace tab on the tounge is placed too low. I assume this was to make room for the logo, but the side effect is that the tounge slips towards the outside of your foot which annoys me to no end. I tried lacing them up differently but this just stretched the tab which also annoyed me.
3. They have stained every pair of socks I have worn with them. Something about the lining leather hates my socks and I've resorted to wearing junk socks with them to avoid the issue.
TLDR: They're great sneakers but far from perfect. Consider carefully if they are worth the money to you.”
