Children loved Scuba VBS. There were LOTS of decor items to make, maybe too many. Switched out two of the Bible stories as we wanted all to be in the water. Loved whenm Bible stories was one Bible person for the whole week like Babylon. 1. Danile taken into captivity 2. Daniel interprets a dream 3. Fiery furnace 4. Daniel prays 5. Daniel in the lion's den I think it makes a more cohesive VBS when we can learn about 1 complere story

Thank you for your 4-star rating of Scuba VBS! We appreciate your feedback and are thrilled to hear that the children loved Scuba VBS. Your input is invaluable to us, and we will take it into consideration for future improvements.
Our church thoroughly enjoyed SCUBA VBS! The decorations were easy to make and so pretty. I wish the Imagination Station activities were individually sold. It’s too much money for small churches to purchase when all the activities aren’t going to be used. It would also be great if Group sold an online only version of the kit. I would love to print out only what we use. A lot is wasted in the tin kits

Thank you for taking the time to review Scuba VBS We're delighted to hear that your church thoroughly enjoyed the program. We're glad that the decorations were both easy to make and visually appealing. Next we will offer several options when purchasing the Imagination Station materials.
We loved Sticky Scripture!! We've been pulling it into our Sunday Morning KidMIN Club for friends that didn't get to attend VBS. We've used Group VBS for 20+ years, with the exception of one year we ued a different company and regretted it immediately. Group has a way of engaging both adults and children that get everyone so excited to learn and share God's Word!!

Wow! We are thrilled to hear that you loved our new Sticky Scripture Station and have even been using it in your Sunday Morning KidMIN Club!
Scuba VBS was held in June 2024. The kids and staff had great fun exploring friendships with God and each other, strengthening their faith. The undersea theme was interesting and provided opportunities for ways to decorate. We created a sunken ship using left over props from previous years, made sea creatures out of everyday items, and had inflatable fish hanging from ceiling lights in our sanctuary. We used Group's recommended items such as student books, God Sightings, Imagination station experiments, games, and bible adventures (the whale was a great hit).

Wow! It sounds like you went all out for VBS this year. We would love to see some pictures if you would like to send a few to info@group.com. Thank you for creating an experience that helped kids grow in their relationship with Jesus and each other.
I was the Exporation and Imagination Station leader at a SCUBA VBS lead by Mary H. This was the first time I was part of a Group VBS although this was my 24th time as a station leader in a VBS (other publishers). 20 minutes is not enough time to adequately do the imagination station rotation. The scientific concepts taught were very interesting, but I don't think there is enough time in the 20 minutes to adequately explain and reinforce the concept. If the station leader is to go through the entire "script" and do each of the actvities at least 25 minutes is needed in order to not be rushed. The kids are spending most of the time sitting and listening or watching others instead of doing things themselves. I know you moved to this model to make it easier for the leaders. . The science packets/ crew: Since the kits needed to be supplemented, I took the kits apart and put all materials for each day in separate piles, just to be more organized. There were enough materials for some activities to include the crew leaders, but other activities only enough for the crew participants. Because we are paying for all the materials in the imagination station crew packets, I didn't feel that I could leave an activity out, so I rushed through many of the activities. I don't think the initial imagination starter question added any value to the lesson and took away valuable time. I would like to see more hands-on activities in imagination station. Is it Group's recommendation that children of varying ages be placed in the same crew? If it is, I would suggest changing this and have crews consist of children within one or two years in age of each other. These children form a mini community and when I would teach the scientific concepts differently to a group of 6-8 year olds than 10- 12-year olds. I have not taught the Bible story station, but that station in particular would be better taught by specific age group. You can challenge an 11 or 12-year old in their faith much more than a 6-year old. I would recommend changing the four 20-minute stations to 25 minutes each and removing the fin-tastic finale all together. I don't think the fintastic finale adds a lot. It seems to me that most of the participants have had their fill of paying attention with the entrance rotation, four rotations and snack. It is my understanding that you recently removed the arts and crafts rotation. I took a survey at another VBS I helped with and arts and crafts was in the top two rotations for many of the elementary aged children.

Scuba was SO fun for the kids, teenagers and adults! We had an amazing week diving into God’s word, singing, playing games and fellowshipping together. Our numbers grew each day because the kids were excited to bring their friends back with them. Group … you outdid yourself this year! We can’t wait for True North in 2025!
