Nitro Max Kit Bundle Reviews

5 Rating 6 Reviews
The Alesis Nitro Max is a great kit for the price. I wanted to get back into drumming after not playing for a number of years. I've only ever played acoustic kits apart from an e-kit I borrowed a few years ago but the experience wasn't great. For that reason, I wanted something that wasn't too expensive but would encourage me to play and that's exactly what I've got. The kit was relatively easy to set up, although I would recommend watching Alesis' video on YouTube while building it to make sure you're getting it right. The kit comes with drum sticks, so by buying the bundle (for the drum stool and headphones) meant I was able to get set up and using the kit straight away. The mesh heads give a realistic response to the drum sticks. Being able to connect your phone to the module via Bluetooth and have the sound from your phone and the drums through the same headphones is key. The 90 day free trial of Drumeo is also a big benefit. I've only had this a couple of days but I will definitely be looking to sign up once the trial expires. Once you sign up to Drumeo, you'll also get an email with a link to a 5 minute course on Drumeo related to setting up and using your new kit.

As a first time drummer I've started with the Alesis Nitro Max. The rack is relatively sturdy and straightforward to put together and setup the toms, snare, cymbals, bass and module. The kit looks sleek and modern. Straightforward to connect the module to my laptop to gain further sounds via the BFD software (download). The mesh heads are relativly quiet when hitting which is good for indoor playing and not annoying anyone too much. The cymbals are produce a louder sound when striking but these are a form of plastic so would expect a louder sound. The bass also produces a deep thump sound but I've now placed carpet under the drums which has slightly reduced the vibration when using the bass pedal. Overall the ambient sound is relatively quiet kit to play to anyone who is not hearing the actual electronic drum sounds via an amp or headphones. The drum sampling sounds are very decent and many to choose from the ones on the module and on the BFD software (which you can tweak in the settings). Overall highly recommend the Alesis Nitro Max kit.

After splitting up with a girlfriend the urge to bang something and make a lot of noise took over, so I pulled the trigger on buying an e-drum kit. The nitro max doesn’t complain or ask me to do things I don’t want to do and sounds great, I still spent a little more than my budget allowed but this time it was worth it. You know what they say “happy ….drum, happy life”

Having played bass and guitar I decided Id finally learn to drum. The kit has been a pleasure to play, really easy to set up and get started with. The Drumeo subscription gives a really straightforward introduction to drumming with a clear progression pathway. For those with mini musos, this scales really well for kids as well mine are 4 and 7 and have enjoyed getting to grips with the kit.
