About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “My grandson loves this game. He will be 3 in May and this helps his numeracy, his hand- eye coordination, and his recognition of the various colours. We sing “fishy” songs while we play and it also teaches him that if we don’t tidy up at the end then Lilian and Doreen, our 2 Frenchies will run away with the fish! Toy is beautifully made and packaged.”

“I bought this little fishing game for my little granddaughter, who is soon to be three years old. She loves anything unusual and interactive, and I know she will love this toy. The little fish came in a a non-plastic box, the fish are very brightly coloured and made of wood, and the four fishing lines are made of wood also. This is quite important to us, as my son and his family try to avoid plastic items as much as possible, so we are delighted with this company which offers toys often made of sustainable materials, that also teaches tots how things work. Many thanks”

“Got this game for my Grandson's 4th birthday. I had it delivered to their address in Cornwall and it arrived a few days before the Event. Very pleased with all aspects of the Company. Websight is easy to follow. Ordering is straightforward and the toys and games are of excellent quality.”
