“Unfortunately, my drain plug was a little too rounded out for this tool to remove it. It might be beneficial to use this tool in an undamaged drain plug to prevent the plug from getting damaged in the first place.”
“Bought one of these in a kit with a replacement plug, completely useless, it stripped out the internal hex in the drain plug just as the 10mm hex driver did.
Ended up using an air chisel which worked.
Don't waste your money”
“I was going to remove the plug using an in-hex 1/2" drive socket but no matter which size I chose they seemed (10mm they say) sloppy in the plug. I didn't want to take a chance on stripping out the hex in the plug so ordered the KAON tool.
The KAON tool was a perfect firm fit !
I then used a breaker bar (my foot) and 24 mm socket to remove the plug (tight as anything).
The replacement KAON fill plug uses a 19 mm socket and is so much easier than the silly OEM hex plug. (50 NM torque for the fill plug on a Prado 120 - easy)
All future oil changes will be done by me. Be sure to buy this tool when you buy the replacement plug!”
“I agree with all of the other reviews, THANK YOU KAON! This tool really saved me some major headache! worked perfectly and the new replacement drainplug is also a fantastic solution!”
