“I previously had another brand of bash plates fitted, that needed to come down and cover the radiatior support brackets, turning it into a plough when in soft sand. I removed 40 kg from my plates in sand after my last trip through the South East in SA. The design of the Kaon allows you to remove these support brakets and therefore end up with bash plates that angle upwards not hang down. A great design.”
“The plates fitted onto my 2010 Prado Kakadu well with no problems. The only issue was that the KDSS system bolt would hit the bash plate. I had to cut about 10mm off the bash plate so the KDSS would operate without hitting. I did see another review on Youtube saying the same thing so I was half expecting the problem. KAON, you need to take a look at this and make the small adjustment . Other than this they are a great product. very strong, probable the best out there.”
