I rate this very high. If you need/want to mount your small gas bottle on the spare wheel then this is the mount for you. Very happy.

I recently purchased the spare wheel gas bottle mount. The product itself is an absolutely fantastic design and idea. My only suggestions would be: 1: the clamps for the base of the gas bottle rub on the bottom of the cylinder and you have to completely remove the bolt every time you want to dismount or mount the bottle. A small rounding of the clamp itself on the back corners alleviates this and makes it work smoothly in and out. 2: I mounted my sand flag on the bracket but it would be fantastic if the mount had some pre drilled 10mm holes In the top or side to allow for an easier mount or bracket to be fitted would be ideal. This saves having to drill extra holes in the product. I also fitted to a 150 series prado, my only other thought would be to supply it with the back door spacers to stop the sag with the extra weight. Otherwise fantastic product and would recommend to anyone to purchase in the future.

I use the Out-Back Gas Bottle Mount with the Spare Tyre Mount option to mount my small (4KG) bottle jack. I didn't like carrying that jack loose inside the Jimny. It worked really well. A little bit of grinder adaptation was required on the corners of the screw clamps to hold the jack base plate securely. I was worried about whether the screws for those clamps might have rattled undone so I drilled small holes through the plastic knobs and lock wired them together so they can't undo. The supplied Grunt strap gives extra confidence that the jack/gas bottle will stay secure, however mine frayed early on at the buckle clamping point so I replaced that with a more resilient strap. I run a rope lock through a convenient loop in my jack and through my spare wheel as a theft prevention measure and this also gives me confidence of a third way of restraining the whole set up if it all shakes loose on corrugations. If I could add one suggestion for product improvement, it would be to add an instruction sheet on how to feed a ratchet strap. Would you believe I have never used one and after a lot of head scratching it was a YouTube ratchet strap 101 for dummies video that got it working right for me. Great product. Thanks

i’ve been looking for something like this for ages! I’m really happy with how solid it all feels, the mount on the tyre and the gas bottle on the mount - and when I’m not using the gas bottle the whole thing comes off as easy as it sets up.
