I also have the mounting board along with pins for carrying Maxtrax. The combination of both with two Maxtrax's mounted have pushed through low hanging branches and nudged the occasional car park height limit horizontal bar. Its been used for recovery with it being very easy to remove from roof top standing on rock sliders and swivelling the pins to release boards. With an option to throw a small padlock on for some security when you may park out the front of house, pass through a town or stay in populated camp areas it gives you a little piece of mind. I did however enter a car park without scraping the height limit bar and came in contact with concrete ceiling in car park that destroyed all 4 pins. Do not trust car park height notices as they are sometimes lower than noted. The product is very sturdy and can cop a few hard knocks but as expected no match for concrete. Now purchased my second set after user error :(
