Very well built and comes in a nice carry bag. Easy to assemble , use and clean. Heats up to 240 degrees as stated but struggles to maintain temperature if cooking thick burgers or steak. Ours took nearly 30 minutes to cook home made burgers. Checked plate temperature with a digital thermometer. It ranged between 90 and 145 degrees. However it cooks bacon, eggs and sausages very well at a high temperature.

As expected from KickAss, it's a good quality product. Conveniently packs away and heats up very quickly. i am very pleased with my BBQ hotplate.

It fails to maintain temperature, I even went and bought a temp gun to confirm for warranty purpouses (still ongoing) I recorded it whilst it was set to 240 degrees it dropped down into the 70s well under temp, and I could also see as it was plugged into my power station that it had stopped pulling any watts at that point in time. Then it ramps up again, but the vast temp differences during your cook is not good for your meat. Its clearly doing an on / off thing to maintain an internal temperature, but this needs some serious tweaking. I love the design and concept, I really hope KickAss can fix this so that i can change my review to 5 star, as I love the size, design, concept, easy cleaning etc.
