KickAss Quickfire Portable 600W Electric BBQ For Camping Reviews

4.3 Rating 84 Reviews
First time use this weekend - error code E2 - and then reset only to find no heating up or anything. Tried on 240v house supply with the same result. Extremely disappointed. A very expensive “White Elephant” It was also bundled with the induction cooker which also did not work on our 2000w inverter or our house supply. Two “White Elephants”. Confirmed our inverter was working by plugging in our toaster, our other much cheaper induction cooker, AIRFRYER, blended and mixer without any issues.

Real good size and very very portable and thin, so easily fit anywhere. I leave it in the back of Rhino tray on top of my Ute in my 90L cargo box permanently. Very handy having a free carry bag as well. Cooking is very good after the temperature is up there. I have 300ah lithium at the back of my Ute and 3000w inverter so it doesn’t draw a lot out of that. I guess it’s all depends on what is your setup. Overall, very satisfied, especially it is a freebies when I purchased an inverter on the father day special promotion. Very happy!!!

Do yourself a Flavour. I was looking fwd to cooking on this little bbq and was pleasantly surprised. It will be an integral part of my camping kit. Comes in a good quality storage back and packs away easily with the feet magnetically attaching to the hotplate. The initial start up wattage was a shade over 600 watts based on my Vtoman screen but once warmed up (in minutes) it dropped back to less than 500 watts. I had used it previously to cook onions and snags and they cooked to perfection, I used a couple of slices of bread to soak up the oils from snags and onions and fried bread was tasty. This occasion I cooked a porterhouse followed by a scotch fillet and found that the 240 degree setting was best for steak (my preference) at 4 minutes a side. Cleanup is a breeze with the ceramic non stick surface. Don't think this is just for camping, if you like the occasional bbq for 2 people at home that can be set up, cooked, cleaned and packed away this would be ideal. It is very economical using just 15 percent of my 120 AH battery pack, this could have been cut in half if I cooked both steaks at once. I highly recommend this unit for both camping and home use.

Don't expect super heat. Do expect a BBQ that uses low power and does the job. Light weight, low space and I'm a happy camper. Al

We are very happy with this. Together with the induction cooktop, this great BBQ has enabled us to have a completely gas free caravan. I trimmed some silicone egg rings to contain eggs so that they don't run away. There is enough space to cook for four. Love the carry bag and the portability of the unit.
