I bought the controller because it can handle input from 2 x 40 Volt solar panels. It has performed well. It is mounted under a small verandah out of the weather close to one my hydroponic installations. It charges 2 x 12V batteries that are standby power to pumps and lighting. A small 12vdc to 240vac inverter is connected and provides very short term power for a powertool if required.

Seems like an awesome unit, however it's huge for it's purpose. Other controllers are about 1/4 of the size for the same task. I get how you've added big terminals and heatsink, but a smaller more compact unit would be more suited as space is usually limited in mobile applications. A couple of 2 amp+ USB ports would also be handy.

This Solar controller is one of the best spends for my caravan. Its improved the solar caught on my roof so it all goes to the battery. Easy to read! And gives accurate reading of my battery too
