“As this is a 12 volt blanket, the heat generated is not particularly high - as other have reported. Sometimes it is actually difficult to feel much heat at all when touched.
Where the blanket works best is when it is placed under exisiting blankets rather than on top (like a throw rug). This way it takes the chill out of the bed without heat being dissipated into the air. It can also be used this way to help provide additional warmth when sleeping.
I use it via a battery box in a caravan and the current draw aligns with its specification. For under blanket/doona use, it's satisfactory and certainly was appreciated during my recent winter trip away.”

But, there is no way to secure it to the mattress and it bunches up all the time, annoying.”
