I think the main Switch, switches the Earth, as 2 of mine had issues with the UHF radio, they wouldn't turn off, unless the radio was unplugged. it all worked perfectly.
I disconnected the earth wire to the UHF power, just earthed through the ariel ground to make it work.. And all works fine, except the UHF doesn't turn off. Which isnt a problem I just turn it off on the handpiece.
I wanted a common off Switch, as I have a ranger, and the cig lighter socket stays active for a while.
I have a Dash cam, Rev cam, An In-Car Alexa, GPS,all work perfectly, only the UHF. (As its earth is connected via the Ariel base, so earths out the unit, when it tries to turn off, and everything stays working)
