“Gday, i recently purchased this 22AmpHr multi purpose charger for the sole purpose of keeping my also recently purchased 135AH Lithium battery in its tricky box charged while at home also when away and solar was an ask. I have had my 50Ltr Brass Monkey fridge running on the battery & its charger for 3 weeks now with great results from both the fridge and the Kick Ass charger, i would fully charge the Lithium battery then hook it up to the fridge and run it until the batteries BMS would open circuit at 12.4 Volts then hook the fridge up to 240 Volts and connect the Kick Ass charger up to the battery and fire it up, it would take approx 4 hrs to bring it back up to fully charged level @ 13.3 volts and would then go into float mode until i disconnected it and hooked it back up to th fridge again. Its cooling fan cycled in and out as it should and it poured in 22AMPS in stage 4 as stated and when full the screen displayed "FULL" simple.”
“I bought this charger to maintain my 2 x100aH Deep Cycle AGM batteries in my canopy. I have used other more expensive chargers, but I get a better result using the AGM profile on the Kickass 12V 20 Amp charger. Being able to track the charge through the different stages is also a benefit. The batteries are in parallel, and by watching the instructional video, I now charge them as suggested with the Pos. cable one one battery and the Neg. on the other. I also have another Deep Cycle SLA in a Projecta Power Hub that I sometimes use as a portable power source, I have been charging this at various intervals with another charger, but I found when I used the Kickass 12v 20 Amp charger, when it got to the Recon mode, it stayed there for nearly 4hrs, fluctuating the voltage up and down. Reading the instruction manual, it says this is normal and how that mode works. Read the manual guys. Very happy with charger.”
