“Purchased the KickAss DCDC charger and added to an existing battery box I had. Worked effortlessly on my latest trip
Got the wiring kit with ignition cable
So easy to install after watching KickAss videos
Love that it's fused and only charges when I'm driving”
“I am new to 12v and this was the (almost) perfect solution. It was so easy to install and is charging from the alternator exactly as it should. I plugged my 200W solar blanket and got an error. I never thought a basic solar blanket would give out too much voltage but it does. This means I have to to bypass the DCDC and use my blanket with a separate MPPT into the battery. I will get a smaller solar blanket in time but I was a little surprised. Kinda my own fault for not reading/understanding fully”
“Hi Guys, I have just tested he kickass slim line dual battery system, camping over a 4 day long weekend. I couldn't be happier with this System!! With the addition of a plug in solar panel, This system supplied all the power need to run a 60 litre fridge, multiple charging of phones etc with the kickass control panel, and lighting through out the nights. I can highly recommend the kissass system”
“It's good, easy to setup. Only problem is the solar doesn't kick in after you stop driving you have to unplug and replug in the Anderson for solar to kick in.”
“Been using the dcdc charger off my starter battery to charge my LiFeP04 secondary battery and it works great, bought a hardkorr 200w blanket to use when we're parked up for days however even at 22.6v the dcdc charger is throwing solar over VOC errorsm. After a couple minutes it settles down and works fine but when the sun goes behind clouds and back out again the spike trips the over voltage error again, can be fustrating.”
