“Delivery was prompt.
I would have given it 5 stars if it also included in the packaging:
- 2 * D size batteries (packed uninstalled) that are required for the ignition OR even better, a suitable 12V input or adaptor!
- suitable 'S' hooks to hold the product suspended.
Either than that it works well, will heat around 10-15 degrees from the temperature of the water supplied.”
“Used the system near Uluru camping for 6 days, worked a treat once set up. Only down side was trying to get the extra fittings you need to go from pump (10mm) to hot water system (20mm).
Once you sort that its a great unit, nice hot water.
Cheers”
“Not really a system as outlet from pump doesn't match inlet to heater so need to use 2 different size hoses joined together somehow.
Further, electrical wires for pump very thin and need to wire in a switch and/or extend wires to enable connection to power source.
When mentioned to customer service along with contradictory info and pictures re gas lead customer service declined to give any feedback about first 2 items mentioned.
In regards to the gas lead was advised fitting to gas bottle changed in March last year so kiickass had had more than a year to update so called system on their website but hadn't.
Don't see myself as a potential preferred supplier in the future.”
“Used this hot water system on our camp at wooli recently, the wife didn't want to come home to use our shower! That's success in anyone's book, it was perfectly reliable the whole time, 45 degrees seems to be the sweet spot,”
“Great unit (DON'T forget the washer in the gas line like I did !), but it does cut out quickly from heating. Had it set to winter mode, water flow on lowest possible and heat medium and it cut out fairly quickly and had to reset and re-ignite. Needs a bracket or stand attachment for quick attachment/removal.”
“I purchased kickass hot water system for my camper,
I'm more than happy with it,camper has internal pump to supply water to unit it was extremely well priced and suited all my requirements.”
