KickAss 12V Super Thin 200W Portable Solar Panel With PWM controller Reviews

4.8 Rating 115 Reviews
These panels are great electrically. They output what the specs say they will and they're nice and thin. Whats terrible about the design is that the little foldout legs are just riveted into plastic on the frame. So I lost a leg within the first week. For the price of the panels and the way they're marketed as touring panels I was pretty disappointed.

Loving this solar panel. The whole set up is very durable. Just used it for the first time but glad I went with this over the blanket type solar chargers. The panels do get hot in the full aussie sun but once in the bag it's fine. The only criticism I have is the built in solar controller would be better if the display was upward facing to make it easier to change the settings. The way it is atm I either have to lay under the panels or close one half to adjust it. Otherwise it's a great product.

Just finished a 2 week off grid camping trip and the solar panels performed flawlessly.

Excellent quality very durable and lightweight enough. In full sun they putout roughly 12amps at 12volts using the KickAss mttp 20a charger. Charges my 200ah Lifepo4 battery in just a few hours and keeps the fridge nice and cold.

Works well. I've replaced and existing larger 200W solar panel with the KickAss model and I'm now getting almost double the amps into my battery, using a direct connection to my Redarc BCDC. The panel was also able to recharge my flat Ute battery using the inbuilt PWM Solar Regulator.

200w thin solar panels are heaps better than my old 250w fold up panels .They even operate on cloudy days where my old panels would not,and best of all about half the weight and no fear of shattering them.A great product and well thought out with the pre wired bypass, light weight and the compact fold up.Well worth the money.

I had been searching for a non-regulated solar panel for my hybrid van for a while, very happy with the kickass 12 200W panel kit. Great quality, in a very nice carry bag, with a super simple bypass set up and extra long Anderson plug cord. Perfect!
