“I want to thank Adam at Kick Ass USA for assisting me with my purchase. I was able to purchase the correct Lithium Battery and Solar Panels to connect to the Battery Box with the 25A DCDC Charger. I decided to go with a Lithium Phosphate (100ah LifePO4) battery because they are lightweight (1/3 of AGM batteries) and they offer better discharge and charge cycles. Since the lightweight Kick Ass solar panels are not yet available for sale in USA, I purchased a 200w PORTABLE solar panel from Amazon. I will be installing the DCDC Charger in my Honda Ridgeline soon, the Kick Ass Premium Plug and Play wiring kit comes with everything you need for the do-it-yourself install.
The products arrived in perfectly good condition and packaged professionally in Kick Ass branding boxes. I LOVE the fact that shipping is already included in their pricing. The folks at Kick Ass have designed their products with simplicity and ease of use. Their support videos are excellent source of Dual Battery knowledge including a video on how to wire and use Anderson Connectors. I was able to build my own Solar Panel extension cables with Anderson connectors following the instructional video. Good quality materials used in their products, solid kick ass good, it is clear to me that they have done their research and development to offer a product unlike others in the marketplace. “I’ve been running this setup the past 6 months and it has been great. It powered my 75L fridge, all my camp lights, charged devices, and is my power source for my hot water unit. I’m using the 120amp/hr battery from kickass and it has done a great job so far. I get about 1.5 days worth of power before the battery drops down to about 60% of life. I paired it up with a Hardkorr solar blanket and it now produces more power than I’m using with all of my things connected. Highly recommend this setup if you’re looking for an easy plug & play system to help power whatever you need it for.”
