“I was a little dissapointed in the fact that there were 2 people that joined late so we had to cover what was covered for those of us that attended the 1st day. I wish Elaine would have created a new class for the 2 that joined late. Our morning was pretty much wasted.”

“After we complete this course we are supposed to know: - How to manage workbooks and customize the Excel environnment (TRUE) - How to use named ranges in formulas (TRUE) - About Excel tables and how to sort data, use filtering features, use structured references, validate data, and transpose rows and columns. (TRUE mostly) - How to consolidate data from more than one range or workbook, and how to use subtotals (TRUE) - How to use PivotTables to summarize and rearrange large amounts of data in a list, and how to use PivotCharts to present such data. (FALSE mostly) - How to use conditional formatting to format data when it meets a condition, how to create custome number and date formats, and how to insert and manipulate graphics. (FALSE mostly) - How to use special chart features, how to insert sparklines to take snapshots or data, and how to use Quick Access geatures to conveniently analyze data. (FALSE) - How to use permission to control acess to and prevent changes in your workbooks, and about sharing features, such as comments and change tracking. (FALSE)”

“We really struggled with our instructor. She showed up 37 minutes past our start time. We then spent the first almost hour over the fact that the files were never sent to us even though she says it went through, none of us in the class of 5 received them. (I DO NOT recommend using Google Classroom, especially because not everyone has gmail - NONE of us received anything from her via google classroom until she sent it a second time and it only went to those of us who had gmail accounts - which isn't ideal because we were using and paid for this class with our work email addresses). We spent about 25% of the class spending time on figuring out how to access the correct materials/files. The teacher herself was condescending and made it seem like the issues we were having were our own inexperienced faults. She would roll her eyes, constantly repeat herself, tell us how to do basic things that we obviously knew how to do, etc. The material we DID go over (which was maybe 30% of the whole day's content) was really good and I picked it up quickly. We never referenced the workbook - other classes I've taken we walked through some of it step by step and it was much easier to follow (like if I missed the instructor say something, I could look back at the book and pick it up right away). The workbook is great to have, but we did not use it at all for the entirety of the class. I feel like I deserve a 50% refund because I really only learned a few things in an entire day's class, which is a HUGE committment for a full-time working adult!”
