“No connection at first. I tested before fitting to MGA as it is a fiddle to get at. After pulling the operating rod very hard using a vice while twisting the body several times, the inner copper washer finally made contact with the 2 terminals inside and a circuit was made. I assume there might be some sort of preservative grease on the contacts which was stopping contact. Since then and after fitting it has been fine.”
