I do as much research as I can before buying a product.
I decided this was worth an investment after reading these two studies in particular, which I will provide below. Considering they are not as simple as one would like to find.
The second study sold me.
Even though it was a double blind study. It consisted of only ten people. Not a lot, granted. However, the five people who received treatment with a similar device/method of treatment gained significantly improved sleep over the sham group and they had them return after two years to see how the patients measured in quality of sleep without the use of a device. Which ended up being significantly high. That impressed me despite the number being small.
I decided $400.00 to potentially solve a pretty serious issue left untreated was worth it.

I am personally extremely pleased with the results of the CES unit. I purchased two, one for my parents and one for my practice incase it preformed the results it claims to help with. Happy to report
both my parents have seen significantly better sleep. I suggested a 10 day, once a day at 30min before stopping utilizing the unit and after 12 days. I.E. as minimum a dose as recommended to see effectiveness. They both report a deeper sleep which should indicate stage IV being obtained. Now obviously it doesn’t solve being woke up to use a restroom, however even when their sleep was interrupted they said they easily fell back to sleep and most of the time they sleep through the entire night. Including thus far the 2 days off the device. It should be noted that my mother has not accomplished a full nights sleep in several years. I find that alone worth the money spent.”
