“It's a great pedal that simulates 3 different amps and is quite versatile depending on the situation.
Disclaimer, I play a Musicman Bongo 5HH with 18V active pre-amp and 4-band EQ, mostly played "all knobs notched" (everything in the "middle", including the pick-up selector) and the volume "dimed" (all the way full... lots of signal, possibly too much).
"Clean" channel sounds great but over-emphasises the mids and backs off the highs (I've forgotten what a saturated tube actually sounds like these days), which is great for making a "hi-fi" bass sound more "vintage". Had to "3-o'clock" the "treble" knob to get some definition, but not the end of the world.
"Vintage" channel has really nice overdriven tones and is really snappy on the highs but is quite noisy, even at low gain. Low gain sounds great as an alternate "meat/potatoes" sound and high gain still sounds defined and "drive-ey" (rather than "fuzzy").
"Drive" channel wasn't used much (play at church) but is flexible, sounds great, and the "dry/wet" enables me to add definition and clarity whilst still retaining the "fuzz" (I could definitely use it in the future somewhere).
"Bypass" also bypasses the effects loop (annoying, argh) which can be rectified (restoring the effects loop to outputs) by flicking the "4-cable-method" (not the "as-designed" function, but still ok).
Headphone out is great for practicing, but doesn't provide enough volume for cans (Shure SRH880). Aux in is also useful for devices that still have headphone jacks (also argh).
Overall, a great pedal, and I'll continue to use it.”
