“The pump comes with all parts assembled so you can see how it is set up, but was very easy for me to take apart and sterilise and had step by step guide on how to put it back together anyway.
Also comes with a guide so you can measure against your own nipple to determine what flange size you need to use. 4 settings of intensity, both on the stimulation setting and the expression setting. Can use one pump at a time or both at the same time, both fit comfortably in my bra so I can get on with daily tasks whilst expressing.
Had slight problem first time using as when I paused the suction and pulled the pump off, I spilt a lot of my colostrum on the floor, but learned after that time to just lean forward when removing pump from nipple so I can catch any spillage.
Also comes with a brush to clean all parts with, that fits into the smallest part of the pump pieces, to ensure no milk is left in any part.
Very happy with the product!”
“Work pretty well, easy to use. Much better than cabled alternatives. But a lot more cleaning and sterilising than expected. Also some of the parts have warped in the sterilisation process which is disappointing”
“Love these pumps! Super easy to put together, great that it comes with spare parts and totally hands free. Have been a huge time saver for me! Highly recommend”
“It’s really changed my breast feeding experience. Great price and lovely packaging. I love the extra bits you get. Especially the two extra containers which helps with the amount of washing/sterilising but also enables you to pump more if you’re out. Battery life is good.
The only criticism is that the pump is quite loud. Fine for at home and around people you know. They leak when you bend over, but I understand all handsfree pumps have this problem.
I found out about these from a friend. I had spent time searching online and had never come across them before. So would suggest some better advertising - including Instagram and articles about breast pumps.”
Dear Laura, thank you ever so much for your well-rounded review of our Wren Double Electric Breast Pump - which is the best value for all the extras you get in your box, so thank you for mentioning that! We're also happy that this has changed your breastfeeding experience, this is the kind of thing that we love to hear. Our pump is on the medium spectrum for loudness however thank you for mentioning that, it's something we are working on. We are still a very new company, we are trying to ramp up the advertising where we can - thank you to your friend for recommending us :)
“Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. SO glad I went with Wren over other leading brands. Basically the same pump for a fraction of the price.
The suction is SO good and I find I actually get more off with these than I do my plug in medela swing flex which was always my go to before!
Now I just pop both of the Wren pumps into my bra and carry on with my day. It’s honestly life changing not being strapped to a plug!
I would say these are one of the best baby purchases I’ve made. They’ve been an absolute lifesaver!
If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Just get them. I promise you it’s worth every single penny!”
Hello, we just want to thank you for your fantastic review of our Wren Hands-Free Breast Pump Products and our company. It's great to hear you have got on with our breast pump so well and it has been your best baby purchase so far and lifesaver - it means so much to us to hear this lovely feedback :)
“I ordered the double breast pumps and had a few issues with them. The customer service I experienced was great though. Hannah & Jody asked various questions to try and resolve the issues and even offered to give me a call to help.
The issues I had were that I found the breast pumps leaked if I wasn’t upright when using them, so things like bending over to take the washing out of the machine or pick up my daughter weren’t possible when I was wearing them. Have read reviews for different brands of wearable breast pumps this seems to be an issue with lots of different wearable pumps. The pumps were also a bit bulky to handle a newborn with when wearing them. I think they would be fine with an older baby who can sit on your hip, but I found them challenging to use whilst she wanted to lie on my chest or he cradled.
I also found the pumps were quite loud when used together. The website states they are 50 decibels but I think this is just the volume of one pump, the two together were far louder.
My final issue was the strength of the pump. I found that the wired pump I was using before expressed almost double the amount of milk than the Wren pumps. This may not be an issue if you have a good supply but one of the main reasons I bought the pumps was to try and boost mine.
As I said the customer service was very good, but unfortunately I made the decision to move to formula feeding so I cannot comment on whether the issues I had with the pumps could have been resolved”
Hi Natalie, it's been almost a week and we haven't heard from you via email or on any of our channels. As mentioned in your other review, we're keen to get things resolved for you, help you or offer you a refund.
“This pump has been a game changer for me! I started expressing breastmilk for my daughter when she was a few days old due to problems we were having with breastfeeding (I had always hoped to introduce the bottle at some point for my husband to help with feeds, this just meant we were doing it earlier than planned) and unfortunately I found that pumping milk triggered low moods for me. This was partly because it was so difficult to find the time to fit it into my schedule once my husband returned to work as I am the sole carer for my baby for most of the day, and partly because when I could find the time it meant being tethered for 20 minutes unable to do anything else, even with a hands free bra. I ordered a double hands free pump out of desperation and I'm so glad I did, as long as I have a few minutes to put the pump together I can still look after my daughter or run errands while using it so it's much easier to make the time to do it now! It fits so well in all of my nursing bras and I even find it less painful to use than my original pump, possibly because the flanges are a better fit. I've only had one instance of leaking so far which was because I'd over filled the container, that's the only downside I've found so far is that it's hard to tell how full the containers are getting during use (hard but not impossible). I'm really happy with it and I feel like I got a bargain compared to similar products from more well known brands, I would recommend a wren pump to anybody who is considering it :)”
Hi Rachael, another epic and detailed review from you - thank you :) This is the kind of feedback we want to hear and see about our Wren Hands-free breast pumps. We have tried hard to make these as affordable as we can. With regards to your point about finding it hard to tell when it's getting full - that's really fair feedback and we will take this on board, so thank you again.
“I haven’t used these yet as my baby isn’t due until June. However I can comment on customer service.
I contacted Wren regarding the warranty and they came back to be so quickly with an amazing solution. Which I am massively grateful for. They were super helpful and friendly. Looking forward to being able to use these in 4/5 months time. They are lovely looking and reading all the reviews is giving me so much confidence in these. If I ever need to buy any again I know where I will be coming :)”
Hey Bianca, thanks for your review before using our breast pump. We're happy you were impressed with our customer service, please come back to us after June and let us know how you are getting on. Good Luck with everything xx
