3.7 Rating 18 Reviews
We were so excited to be hatching eggs. So we ordered from this company. We were not sure how to do it and as a result, we had no eggs hatch. They were nice enough to send us another set of eggs and we watch these eggs and watch these eggs to make sure everything was right well two hour sadness again, none of our eggs hatched. I don’t know how they can send us six eggs and not one of them hatch especially since we made sure all the conditions were correct I’m really sad that I would never order from this company again.

I ordered a set of these in Oct 2020 but USPS completely bungled the shipping and they were lost for 2 wks. Needless to say those eggs were useless when they were finally found. I was just devastated, the breeds had been a lovely assortment to lose to a USPS flub up. MpC was amazing helping me handle the situation with the insurance claim, and I was able to reorder them just recently. (They were replacement eggs so I was refunded for the "original lost 6" but I added 6 extra crossing my fingers that this time they'd arrive safely!) They Did! 14 beautifully packaged eggs arrived in 2 days, all intact and immediately rested in my incubator in cartons. Its day 12 and of the 14 eggs 12 are developing perfectly when candled! One the BBS cochin quit very early around day 3 with a ring (it happens) and one did not develop possibly damaged in shipping or just quit so early it did not appear when candled. Very happy. Shipping eggs is always stressful but they were wonderful about it. The breed list included helps you figure out what you've got. Super excited to see if everyone developing hatches on March 29-3rd!

I have never tried hatching my own chicks before, but this was a really great first experience in my opinion. I ordered 12 eggs & received 14. There were at least 6 different breeds in my pack. Now, these eggs were shipped from Connecticut to South Carolina in January, so I had realistic expectations on viability from the get go. I also made a lot of mistakes, being my first go round as well. I didn’t give my incubator a whole lot of time to regulate and I didn’t let the eggs sit long enough when they first arrived. Again, the usual excited rookie moves. I also candled them (or tried to) too early and too often at first. One egg started to stink/seep on day 5, so it got tossed. One egg developed a blood ring on day 7. I tossed 5 that had no development on day 12 and then 2 that had stopped developing right before lock down on day 17. Today is hatch day, and so far I have 3 happy healthy chicks wandering around my incubator, one egg that has pipped & one that’s doing the wobble. Fingers crossed the last two make it out, but even if they don’t, I’m very satisfied with my first go around. So much so, I have 6 more eggs on order to ship this week!

I have read mixed reviews about these eggs, so I decided to try them. I received extra eggs for starters. I left them to set for a day after they arrived as recommended. I chose 14 of the 16 I received and began incubation. Day three the power went out and I had to do an emergency relocation to my office at work....candles the eggs on day 9. Removed 2 and continued...day 19 candled again...kicked out 2 more Day 21 they began to hatch and by the end of the day all 10 eggs left had hatched...3days later and all the chicks are happy and healthy....ended up with 3 bantams and 7 large breeds. Excellent product and successful rate thanks

I ordered 6 chicks and got an extra egg! Which was pretty good since one of my eggs came cracked and was for sure not going to hatch. I got a good variety too! 5 out of 6 were all different breeds and I got a pretty rare/expensive breed. Out of the 6, 4 of them hatched and I got 2 bbs cochins, an Isabel orp, and an easter egger. They are really adorable and all happily running around. Thank you My Pet Chicken for these eggs!

So pleased with this batch, we usually hatch our own eggs but haven't in a couple of years after a flock attack. For being eggs that where mailed they've done great! 10 of 24 have hatched so far and there are still 24 hrs left in the hatch schedule I am hoping to wake up to maybe one more in the morning.

I have hatched many eggs in my time and yet none of the eggs they sent me hatched!! I have a couple of issues with the fact they sent me eggs with no tracking information. I had to call to see if they were mailed out. Furthermore, I feel they were in the mail too long. They shipped them out on Thursday and they arrived on Monday. And don't bother with their instructions on how to hatch fertile eggs. There is something wrong with saying that you should unbox them and let them settle before you put them in the incubator. In my opinion you lose valuable time in the hatching process by doing that. I did exactly as they said and I had no eggs hatch. I would have been better off doing it the way I wanted.

Because I did what the site suggests when ordering (pick up at post office), my eggs wound up spending the entire weekend in the post office. It turns out that my post office does not open on Saturdays, but they do deliver mail (I am recently moved here and did not know this). We wound up getting our eggs on Monday. I used the incubator as per the instructions and faithfully rotated 3x per day. We are at day 25 and we only had one egg hatch on day 22 (a Naked Neck). On that subject, they should state a little more conspicuously the note on whether one wants these types of birds. We have quickly fallen in love with the little bird but had I seen this before placing the order, I would have noted it. Sadly, it is looking like I will have to discard the other half dozen eggs within a few days.
