The chickens took to these without any issues. LOVE how clean and dry it keeps the coop. I can't address if they don't freeze. I would recommend.

We are very sorry that you are dissatisfied with this product. We want to help and apologize for the delayed response. These nipple waterers do not come with washers, but if the correct drill bit, 11/32" is used then they should fit snugly and not leak, as other customers have posted. Using plumbing tape is not necessary, but can help if the drilled hole is too large due to the bit or shifting during the drilling process. We have reached out to your directly to see how we can help.

Have a actual 1/8” n.p.t. (pipe thread) threads, not just metric self tapping threads. So if you are ocp like me and actually drilled and taped they fit snug and do not leak. My power went out for a few days and the bucket they were installed in froze solid. I figured they would all be broke and leak but none broke and they all seal excellent. I actually removed previously installed nipple drinkers and threw them away to install these in my brooders to. No more dripping drinkers in the brooder although I did leave the other water in there until I was sure everyone could use them as they are slightly more harder to activate than the cheapos. Birds like em, I like em, and I have had no problems whatsoever with them. Highly recommend

I have bought these several times now to build bigger and better waterers for my flock and am never disappointed! I live in South Dakota with frigid temps and these have always performed well. I do keep them inside during winter months, outside in summer. Have only ever had 1 leak (out of over a dozen) and it was in part because I dropped the water bucket on it. Highly recommend, is the only kind I will buy!
