Baby Chicks: Easter Egger Female Reviews

4.8 Rating 191 Reviews
I ordered 8 chicks total, they all arrived the day after they shipped. All were healthy and happy and energetic! My Easter egger was the friendliest of the bunch and definitely led the other two eat out of my hand. She is cute and curious and loves to jump into my hand. They're only two weeks old, but after the first week I noticed the Easter eggers beak was going crooked. Its a shame, I found someone who is going to take her and hopefully give her a good life. Because I'm unable to hand feed her if her scissor beak gets too bad. And I couldn't bring myself to culling her. I can only hope for the best. But as for the rest of my chickens, they are great.

I ordered 8 chicks very late in the season and they all arrived quickly and healthy. It's a chilly time of year to order chciks close to October and I've never ordered them this late so I was a little worried. Once they warmed up for a few minutes under the heat they were all running around and flapping happily, eating and drinking. I got a variety of colors and they all have cheek muffs which I was very happy about because some hatcheries 'easter eggers' don't guarantee beards and muffs. They are also some of the friendliest chicks I've had. They don't freak out when I reach my hand in there. In fact they run over to my hand like it's the mama hen doing something interesting. I've had them less than 24 hrs, but I love them so much already! Can't wait to see how their coloring matures.

Of my 9 that I got back in March, Joy, my EE, is my sweetest! She was also the cutest chick, and she has a great personality to boot. Slight chance she’s laying a brown egg since I have been getting a mysterious brown egg and she’s squatting, but even if she is, I’m happy to have her!

I have been buying from "My Pet Chicken" many times. I always have very good luck and the chicks grow into beautiful adults.

SO happy with this girl! After losing an entire flock of EE's to a fox, we built Ft Knox & started over. This time around I only added one EE, hoping she would give us something pretty - even named her Sage for added encouragement! She was the last to start laying, no surprise there, but her egg was more than we'd hoped for. Huge (almost the size of our Brahma) & Robin's egg blue!! She's a striking color, has a sweet disposition, & a gorgeous egg. I wish I had a dozen more just like her!

My 5 Easter eggers (3 bantam and 2 standard) are gorgeous! They’re all completely different looking one is gold with black lacing, one is white with gray lacing. I even have one that looks like an owl! She all tan with a cream colored face(her name is bunny lol). They just started laying and everyone lays blue/green eggs! I’ll definitely be ordering more.

We received several healthy chicks from MPC about 18 months ago (February 2020). The ordering and shipping process was smooth and the customer service was outstanding (I contacted them with several questions)! Our EE is very friendly and beautiful (buff with gold and grey and a full beard and muffs). She began laying at 22 weeks and initially gave us 4-5 small/medium eggs/week (42-44 grams). However, they steadily got larger and are now large/XL (62-70 grams) and are a VERY rich blue-green color. Like most EEs, she stopped laying through most of our Michigan winter, but is currently averaging 4 eggs/week. She has never gone broody, which we view as a good thing!

oh, these girls! flock favorites! Polly lived 9 years and was laying on and off until the end. Such a sweetheart. My only hen that would follow me and always, always jump on my back as soon as she had an opportunity. I could tell her gentle clucks from the rest, and she was always chatting. Because Polly was so loved, we got another EE, Annie and she loved to follow Polly around. She was a little more boisterous, especially when laying, we called her Screaming' Annie. Such wonderful layers, and such sweet dispositions.
